The Office, Kinetic Type (2021)

Design Challenge: To animate type from an audio clip of people speaking.

Design Approach: Selfishly being my favorite TV show, I picked a clip from The Office to animate. I also picked this clip because it had three speakers involved. This was a challenge because I needed to be able to visually separate the characters so viewers would know who was speaking, especially when characters talked over each other. I used type treatment and color assignments to help me achieve this. I used small but effective animations to help push the story and show the emotions of the characters, which elevated the script.

Programs Used: Adobe XD, Adobe After Effects
